Film Language Tag: double exposure

Exposing the same film more than once and therefore overlapping two or more images in the same frame. The exact number of exposures or overlapping images does not matter; it is still called a double exposure. A double exposure may be achieved in-camera by running the same film through the camera more than once. The same effect may also be achieved as an optical by combining multiple strips of film into one image or as a video effect. Kroon, R. W.
